Tough test in first friendly

Llay suffered a 5-0 defeat to Runcorn Linnetts FC in their first pre season friendly. Runcorn brought a well organised strong young side to the ring and Llay were overpowered in all areas of the pitch. Runcorn opened the coring on 15 minutes when a good ball accross the box found the Runcorn No 10 who slotted home from close range. Runcorn scored again on 20 minutes and No 10 scored his hatrick on 44 minutes. Llay's chances were few and far between and Runcorn made it 4-0 and 5-0 respectively in the second half. It was a good fitness sesssion for the players and gives the management something to work on for their next friendly this Saturday when they face Atherton Collieries at Carden Park 2:30pm kick off.
