Manager's view...

Late match report and one of many groggy heads in the Llay area ?
Firstly we as a football club would like to thank the couple of hundred people there watching yesterday. I know our Manager and players were overwhelmed with the support you gave them yesterday. Secondly big ? up to Llanrug FC that took part in the occasion their travelling support & players were a credit to their club.
The game began at 14:15 and in the early exchanges Llanrug were looking the brighter side, they were given a penalty in the first 10 minutes. Thankfully for us their player hit the upright and the ball rebounded into safety. It took that let off to wake the players up, and quite frankly from there on in we controlled the game and took a deserved lead in the second half on 53 minutes, Jack Edwards with a superb header back across goal, to see Rhys Lloyd score his first ever goal for the Welfare on his home debut. Game management from the players was superb and we rightly went into the hat for the second round.
Flint Town at The Ring hopefully break the 300 mark next time....
