An improving Welfare side will take heart from their performance against title contenders Mold on Saturday. The tie was decided on penalties (during normal time) and and it was the visitors skipper Anthony Mee who bagged both, the second on the rebound after a fine save by Steve Matthews.
Welfare had their chances either side of the spot kicks, with a good turn and snap shot from Welfare number 9 Craig Wood bringing out a great stop by the visiting 'keeper and player boss Gareth Roberts rattling the bar in the 76th minute.
The team kept a good shape throughout and will be looking forward to their visit to Rhos Aelwyd next weeek
